useRescueERC20
Sweep stranded plain ERC-20 tokens (e.g. someone sent the wrong token).
@tokenops/sdk/fhe-airdrop/react{ mutate, mutateAsync, isPending, error, data }Description
Sweep a plain ERC-20 that was sent to an airdrop instance by mistake.
Requires RESCUER_ROLE.
Passing the campaign's own token reverts CannotRescueAirdropToken (a wrapper token
answers both interfaces, so this is a check, not an assumption); use
useWithdrawConfidential for the pool and
useRescueOtherConfidentialToken for a stranded ERC-7984.
Invalidates: nothing. This subpath has no read hook over arbitrary ERC-20 balances held by the instance.
Signature
function useRescueERC20(options: AirdropInstanceClientOptions): UseMutationResult<Hex, Error, RescueERC20Args>;Parameters
Shape of the object you pass to .mutate(args) is the SDK type RescueERC20Args. Inspect the type for the full shape (discriminated unions collapse to a tagged variant at call time).
Example
const rescue = useRescueERC20({ address: airdropAddress });
await rescue.mutateAsync({ token: strandedErc20, recipient: treasuryAddress });Pulled directly from the hook's TSDoc block — the same snippet your IDE shows on hover.
Errors
This mutation can reject with SDK-level, product-level, or generic-fallback errors. Product classes carry the offending value as fields — render them inline instead of a generic "transaction failed." See Airdrop v2 › Errors for the per-class recovery table.
Invalidation recipe
After this mutation succeeds, invalidate the queries it affects so consumer UI re-fetches fresh state. The SDK never auto-invalidates — that's a consumer decision (different apps cache different shapes).
import { useQueryClient } from "@tanstack/react-query";
const queryClient = useQueryClient();
const rescueERC20 = useRescueERC20(/* options */);
rescueERC20.mutate(args, {
onSuccess() {
// Coarse invalidation: refresh every cached read on this product surface.
queryClient.invalidateQueries({
queryKey: ["tokenops-sdk", "fhe-airdrop"],
});
},
